For our unit on China students will be making dragons out of clay. First we talk about how dragons occupy a very important position in Chinese mythology. Dragons show up in art, literature, poetry, architecture, songs, and many other aspects of the Chinese life. The dragon has many animal-like forms in Chinese art. Sometimes Chinese dragons look like turtles and fish but they are most commonly depicted as snake-like with four legs. This is how we will be dipicting our dragons in clay. If you were absent and missed the clay demonstration or just need a refresher please watch this video.
